About the NKMSA

The Northern Kentucky Medical Society Alliance is an organization for physicians' spouse, male and female, of all ages. We provide an opportunity to interact with fun, intelligent people who care, share, and understand the unique joys and stresses of physician families.

Friendship

The NKMSA is a great way to get to know our medical community. Our quarterly meetings include a short business meeting, great food, and a fun and interesting program. We also host the Medical Society's holiday party. And only NKMSA members receive our convenient home address and phone directory of the entire medical community!

Community Health

Our Community Health projects include a Medical Scholarship fund at Northern Kentucky University, continued support of the NKMS Foundation, and donations to various charities.

Medical Issues Education

The Medical Issues Education committee of the NKMSA has been very active in recent years to keep our medical community informed of local, state and national issues affecting health care. Our newsletters, fax and phone tree, and voter registration efforts have all been successful in making sure that our concerns are heard.

State and National Affiliations

The Northern Kentucky Medical Society Alliance is affiliated with the Kentucky Medical Association Alliance (KMAA) and the American Medical Association Alliance. These affiliations allow us to join with physicians and their spouses nationwide to promote health concerns, legislative issues, and medical education. AVE, or Stop America's Violence Everywhere, is a award-winning national initiative of the AMA Alliance. Our holiday greeting card helps to raise funds for medical education through the American Medical Association - Education and Research Fund (AMA-ERF). another national project.

Dues of $65/year includes membership in the local, state, and national organizations. As a member, you will receive the NKMSA directory and newsletters as well as Bluegrass News from the KMAA, and Newsline and Facets from the AMA Alliance.
